The Key to Rebuilding Economies: Reopen Exhibitions #Global Exhibitions Day 2020

05.26.2020

Today we, MDSers are celebrating the fifth Global Exhibitions Day. This year our exhibition industry has been turned upside down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All activities in the first half of the year are basically postponed.

Undoubtedly, exhibitions are keys to rebuilding economies. Different from online networking, a face-to-face event is not only the fastest way to connect with your marketplace but also the best way to boost business, local jobs, and innovation. That is why the Chinese Government announced to restart exhibitions and conferences in the country soon after the epidemic is generally contained, explicitly giving the green light to the MICE industry.

At present, all exhibitions under MDS responsibility are in full preparation and ready to reopen at 2nd half of 2020. In consideration of the health and safety of each participant, we will strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Shanghai Conference and Exhibition Industry Association, including but not limited to strengthen the entrance inspection, set up additional hand disinfection stations, increase the cleaning intervals for contact surfaces at the fairground, and encourage exhibitors and buyers to make appointments in advance to avoid assembled crowds at booths.
