Seeing New Breakthroughs, Steadily Growing Each Exhibition in 2019

Time flies, and 2019 is coming to an end. This year is memorable for Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MDS) and Messe Düsseldorf (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MDC). Since its establishment in 2009, MDS has successfully launched numerous high-quality industry trade events for the Chinese market, which has effectively promoted the healthy development of many industries in China. On the other side, MDC has taken the cue from China's reform and liberalization, and over the past 20 years has continuously exported high-quality "Made in China" products and technologies to the world, helping countless domestic companies to go abroad.

Despite facing increasing global trade barriers in 2019, China still stabilized its GDP growth in the first three quarters of 2019 at 6.2% by actively promoting the “Belt and Road” initiative and mobilizing domestic demand. This can be seen from the results of MDS’s exhibition business in China this year. This year, MDS held 8 exhibitions and conferences in China, with a total exhibition space of 409,100 square meters, an increase of 12.4% over 2017 (due to the cycle of the exhibition, the data is based on the increase since 2017). A total of 6,305 domestic and international exhibitors efficiently displayed their latest products and solutions through our brand activities (a 5.1% increase from 2017). At the same time, more than 274,000 professional visitors came to visit the exhibitions (a substantial increase of 14.2% over 2017), which boosted the enthusiasm of both the demand and supply sides onsite.

Eyeing the satisfying results of 2019, Mr. Marius Berlemann, General Manager of MDS, said: “In the past year, the company has tried new cooperation model with the premise of ensuring the steady development of our benchmark projects, which has allowed MDS to always stay energetic and keeping up with the latest market trends. Evidently, the numbers can prove that our development strategy is moving ahead. At the same time, I believe that with the full commitment of the MDS team together with colleagues abroad, MDS will achieve even better results during the peak exhibition season next year!”
