Press Conference for Energy Storage China 2014 Held in Beijing

A platform for communication and trade on the energy storage industry between China and abroad, synchronizing the business worldwide

On March 4th 2014, the press conference for Energy Storage China 2014 was grandly held in the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Science. The event was jointly organized by the China Energy Storage Alliance and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Dr. Chen Haisheng (Executive Vice President of the China Energy Storage Alliance), Ms. Zhang Jing (Secretary-General of the China Energy Storage Alliance), and Mr. Heiko Stutzinger (Head of Renewable Energy Fairs of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Board Member of the German Energy Storage Association, shortened as BVES) attended the Conference. The organizers also invited business representatives from the energy storage industry and reporters from professional media including Energy Storage Science and Technology, China Energy News, Power News, Chine Electric Power News, www.bjx.com.cn, www.inengyuan.com, www.chinaero.com.cn, Energy of China and Energy Weekly as well as  mass media including Xinhua News Agency, www.china.com.cn, China Conference & Exhibition and China Securities Journal to attend the press conference.

Dr. Chen Haisheng delivered a welcoming address, followed by Mr. Heiko Stutzinger’s briefing on the current picture, perspective and outlook on renewable energy storage in Germany. Mr. Stutzinger introduced the status and role of the German Energy Storage Association (BVES) in the energy storage industry in the capacity of board member. Afterwards, Ms. Zhang Jing outlined the latest news and trends in the Chinese market as well as agenda highlights and status of Energy Storage China 2014. Business delegates expressed their confidence and expectations on this upcoming conference and expo. The reporters present learnt of the basics of the Global Energy Storage Alliance, which was jointly initiated by the China Energy Storage Alliance, the German Energy Storage Association, the California Energy Storage Alliance and the Indian Energy Storage Alliance. The Alliance is to improve the recognition of energy storage technologies worldwide and promote industrial communication and development.

Inheriting the successful conference experience in 2012 and 2013 that China Energy Storage Alliance has built up, Energy Storage China 2014 is themed as “Development Opportunities of Energy Storage under New Urbanization”. Facing up to the global trend of the energy storage industry and the emerging market in China, Energy Storage China 2014 will witness in-depth discussions on the mode of photovoltaic+energy storage. Concurrently, seminars, conferences on energy storage technologies, visits to energy storage projects, panels of the Global Energy Storage Alliance and the annual meeting of China Energy Storage Alliance will be held. Conference delegates will be informed of the annual updating on the energy storage industry in major countries worldwide. It’s estimated that 20 exhibitors will make presence.
