A Gathering of Delegates from Top-league and Premier Industries

For many years, CHINAPLAS 2010 has received the support of various sectors and industries, with sustained expansion of scale. Now it is universally recognized as Asia's No. 1 and the world's No. 3 international exhibition on plastics and rubber industries. This year, the exhibition scale reaches 150,000 sqm, which is 11% higher than its 2008 predecessor in Shanghai and gets a record high. The number of exhibitors has also surged by 18%, with over 2,100 exhibitors, showing high potential for the development of China's plastics and rubber industries. "The new slogan of CHINAPLAS 2010 - The Growth Engine for Your Industries - witnesses the congruent growth of this exhibition along with various industries and sectors. It injects new momentum into various industries and enables enterprises to take advantage of early opportunities in the wake of economic revival," said Mr Stanley Chu, Chairman of the Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, the organizer of CHINAPLAS 2010.

CHINAPLAS 2010 is dedicated to providing buyers from around the world a high-efficient, convenient and one-stop-shop platform for the procurement of advanced technologies and updates on market information. In this edition, it attracts nearly 100 local and overseas buyer groups, which consist of associations and end-user enterprises in industries such as plastics and rubber products, automotive, building and construction, E&E, IT and telecommunications, packaging, toys, medical, and molding, etc. A number of overseas associations and enterprises from Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, UK, Vietnam, etc. have organized bigger buyer groups this year, whereas Algeria and Japan sent their buyer groups to CHINAPLAS for the first time. Their remarkable attendance has brought more business opportunities to the exhibitors. The organizer estimates that the event will attract overseas visitors from over 130 countries and regions this year, accounting for 18% of the total.

In addition, the organizer has invited a number of renowned enterprises to visit the exhibition, such as Midea, Foxconn, Nongfu Spring, Wahaha, C-BONS, BYD, Bosch, Whirlpool, Haier, Nam Sok Building Material Products, Baxter International, Goodbaby, and other brand companies, covering a wide range of end-user industries. Both the quality and number of professional visitors have continued to rise.

Participation of Numerous First-time Exhibitors Creating More Business Opportunities

CHINAPLAS 2010 gathers over 2,100 international exhibitors under one roof, where they display their flagship plastics and rubber technologies. This year, close to 400 local and overseas exhibitors are exhibiting at CHINAPLAS for the first time, of which near 50 are from overseas. Their participation provides buyers with diverse choices of products and witnessed a new vision of economic recovery. Among Chinese exhibitors, many of them came from regions outside the traditional bases of the plastics and rubber industries, such as the Sichuan, Hebei, and Liaoning Provinces, Jiangyin and Yancheng of the Jiangsu Province, Shantou and Meizhou of the Guangdong Province, and Shangyu, Huzhou, and Cixi of the Zhejiang Province. This strongly demonstrates that the influence of CHINAPLAS has penetrated deeply into each and every industrial area, even the world. Exhibitors expect that CHINAPLAS 2010 provides them with a platform to capture the opportunity for greater business development.

Concurrent Green Activities Providing More Environmental Protection Solutions

Most of the production processes and product features in the market are moving toward environmental protection, energy conservation, resources saving, and after-use recycling. Echoing this general trend, as the world's leading information and technological exchange platform for the plastics and rubber industries, CHINAPLAS is undoubtedly the ideal stage for the discussion on green plastics and how 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) can be adopted to current and future plastics and rubber industries, and to highlight the importance and influence of "going green" in achieving sustainable development for the industry.

Theme activities include Industrial Forum on Green Plastics and Rubber and Green Corner. Through a series of industrial forums, audience can gain a deeper understanding of plastics being an eco-friendly material. With the real case sharing about applications of green plastics in automotive, building and construction, packaging, E&E, IT and telecommunications industries, audience can confer with leading green plastics and rubber solution providers and experts from different countries, including China, Europe, USA and Japan, and network with manufacturers who adopt the green technologies. Speakers from renowned exhibitors, including BASF, Bayer, DSM, Du Pont, Guangdong Liansu, Mitsubishi Chemicals, Haitian, Shanghai General Motors PATAC and Shanghai Shuanglu Electric Appliance, provide rich information on green applications. In addition, the exhibition also features "Green Corner", which displays the most advanced eco-friendly plastics and rubber technologies from exhibitors in order to encourage buyers to source the green exhibits and finally adoption of the green concept into their end products.

Innovative Technology for Eco-friendly Applications

Every edition, exhibitors take the valuable opportunity of CHINAPLAS to showcase the latest technologies achievements. This year, high-efficiency and eco-friendly applications are the focal points in order to echo the green trend of the plastics and rubber industries. Green raw materials such as polylactic acid (PLA) and bio-degradable resin and their products are the special favorites. Ashland's green exhibit applies its proprietary technology to process natural plant sugars to make Ingeo™ bioplastics. The production uses less fossil fuel and emits fewer greenhouse gases than conventional plastics. Besides, Kureha displays the innovative Kredux® product line which is a bio-degradable polyglycolic acid resin with superior strength and barrier properties suitable for a variety of medical and packaging applications.

In addition, CHINAPLAS also showcases many key environmental protections and energy saving applications from exhibitors, among them the servo energy saving injection molding machine is a notable eye-catcher. KraussMaffei's BluePower offers servo drive technology for hydraulic injection molding machines with high potential for energy savings. Moreover, Engel's new Victory with ecodrive, keeps the speed down to requirements, virtually no energy consumption when idle and the machine is extremely quiet, its coolant requirements are far lower to achieve the highest energy savings.

Besides, the servo drive injection molding machine of Chen Hsong is driven by the revolutionary ASR/E intelligent servo system from Yuken. Its EM/SVP series combines a fast-response piston pump with a high-precision servo drive that guarantees the highest response, highest precision and lowest power consumption at the same time. Meanwhile, Arburg presents the high-performance of its hybrid, energy-efficient HIDRIVE machine series with a high-speed packaging application. They combine the servo-electric clamping units and the hydraulic injection unit with hydraulic accumulator technology and servo-electric dosage to a high-performance machine design. CHINAPLAS 2010 puts all the new eco-friendly plastics and rubber applications from different market leaders under the same roof, bringing diversified solutions to buyers of various sectors and industries.
