Baosteel joins Tube China 2010

07.18.2010

The 4th All China International Tube & Pipe Industry Trade Fair (Tube China 2010), scheduled to be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, China from September 21 to 24, 2010, has caused a great sensation in the Asian tube & pipe world since the first edition in 2004 and has currently been one of Asia's largest tube & pipe exhibitions.
Since the launch of exhibition recruitment, Tube China 2010 has received active response from major companies in the industry. As one of China's most influential steel enterprises, Baosteel has confirmed recently that it would show up with a large booth. Besides, a number of internationally and domestically famous enterprises such as Buhlmann, SMS Meer, Iljin, Sandvik, Daniel, Marcegaglla, Danobat, NAKATA, Panyu Chu Kong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Tianjin Pipe (Group) Corporation, Zhejiang Tsingshan Steel Pipe Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Giant Star Industry Co., Ltd, Shanghai Qichang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd have also joined the exhibition in succession. The exhibition covers Hall E1, E2 and E3 and will register a record high in area and scale. Industry players believed it to be the most important edition in the history, because global economic slump has shown signs of slowing down, and domestic and overseas market demands have begun to rebound.

Chinese Steel Market to See Demand Peak

China boasts the largest steel output, consumption and imports & exports in the world. China's steel pipe production and consumption have also been surging. Now, China is also the world's largest copper pipe producing and consuming country, with an annual growth of over 10% in domestic consumption in recent years. During the period of the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", the steel pipe industry grew rapidly, and the output of steel pipe and that of finished steel increased in parallel. The increase in the total number of newly-commenced real estate projects brought about the increase in building scale; the full launch of national key projects such as venues for the Beijing Olympics and Shanghai World Expo will boost the demand of steel structures for steel pipe. In the past five years, despite a slight increase in the output of homemade steel pipe, domestic demand has remained about 5% short. International and domestic market demand increases are expected to surge and peak.

Tube China 2010, jointly organized by Metallurgical Council of China Council and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. for the Promotion of International Trade, is held in parallel with the All China International Wire & Cable Industry Trade Fair (Wire China). The exhibition is fully supported by the world's largest tube exhibition Tube Düsseldorf and its organizer Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. A number of international and domestic authoritative associations have also been the strong backing of the exhibition. Many professional forums and seminars, sponsored by authorities and associations, will be held during the exhibition.
