    Introduction:
    The MDS Associate Program (AP) is a tailor-made 24-month scheme bringing you a unique
    opportunity to unveil your potential and realize your career aspirations in the trade show
    industry. During the program, the Associates will be rotated to different business units and
    corporate functions to prepare them for later positions in trade show business on a fast
    track.

    Job Summary:
    At our Associate Program, you will work with more than 8 projects / departments in order
    to facilitate your learning experiences and gain a full operation picture to strengthen your
    capabilities.
    There will be intensive opportunities for you to understand the company. Through in-depth
    discussions with more than 8 department heads and various on-site experiences, you will
    be expected to understand the general operations of different business units. Towards the
    end, you will be given the opportunity to share your learning and insights with the senior
    management.
    A trainee is basically being assessed at all times as the program progresses, meaning main-
    taining a professional attitude and showing excellent listening skills are two of the most
    important attributes the trainee needs to demonstrate. In addition, good communication
    skills, confidence, problem-solving and an ability to develop and maintain relationships
    among colleagues and supervisors are essential.
    The Associate should be responsible for working alongside each project director / depart-
    ment head and accepting delegated responsibilities and duties with the goal of eventually
    becoming a formal employee after the 24 months training program.

    Coach-Mentor-Buddy Scheme:
    Buddying
    Buddies are all the team members of each department. They can share their past experi-
    ence and provide you with solid support and advice favorable to your overall development
    progress.

    Mentoring
    Mentors from senior management will help you make significant transitions in knowledge,
    skills and attitude by using their profession, expertise and vision. They will provide close
    guidance and help you understand your development from a holistic and practical perspec-
    tive.
    Coaching
    Coaches are knowledgeable experts from senior management. They will offer you insights
    on understanding your long-term career development, so that personal development and
    career accomplishments are made possible.

    Primary responsibilities:
    · Work with each department heads to plan and direct the work of the organization
    · Receive training instruction in subjects related to their rotational experience
    · Work in different departments to gain perspective, including marketing, sales,
    customerservices, project, technical, finance and HR departments
    · Handle established accounts to gain familiarity
    · Attend periodic evaluations
    · Achieve a passing score in all areas of the management training program in order to
    continue in the program
    · Follow the work requirements of each department

    Skills / Qualifications:
    · College degree or above
    · Fresh graduates or with preferably some internship experience in project management,
    exhibition industry etc.

    Project Manager

     

    Project Manager job duties:

     

    1. Overall Responsibility

    This role is to be responsible for the development, total revenue and contribution to the assigned shows (see above)

     

    2. Show Organization/ Event-related concepts

    ·         Drive growth through aggressive exhibitor sales

    ·         Ensure the assigned project achieve the financial target and maintain a continuous growth. Maintain good relationships with business partners, supervise the team to implement the sales plan, keep close contact with HQ for related topics

    ·         Advise in developing trade show implementation plans, provide development and innovation suggestions and report to the director

    ·         Understand history and current developments of counter-exhibitions, and raise corresponding maximum-beneficial plans, responsible for collecting exhibition-related industrial trends and provide suggestions on subsequent opportunities and challenges for the director’s reference

    ·         Coordinate with MarCom and Technical departments to ensure the quality of the show

    ·         Ensure maintenance and growth of exhibitor database / CRM System (ensuring high data quality)

     

    2. Cooperation and Management

    ·         Verifying coordination of measures in cooperation with internal and external bodies within the designated area of responsibility;

    ·         Taking measures to correct any deviation between actual and target performance;

    ·         Train and coach team members on project related matters.

     

    Skills/Qualifications:

     

    ·         3-5 years working experience is preferred

    ·         Bachelor degree or above

    ·         Comprehensive knowledge of related exhibition or event experience - inbound and outbound exhibition business (well known of the exhibition process, including show scheme, budget, data building and especially sales. As well as experienced in project business development and seeking out new partners)

    ·         Excellent sales skills for recruiting exhibitors

    Deputy Project Director job duties:


    1. Lead, take charge & responsibility for the smooth & systematic running of operations of the business and team members
    2. Set/define and achieve the overall budget/target

    5. Managing Large Corporate Accounts and ensuring maximum share of pocket from them.

    Position:

     

    Marcom Manager

    The Marcom Manager works with the Head of Marketing and Project Directors in developing and implementing the strategic and tactical marketing plans trade shows.

    The Marcom Manager  will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to the setup of conventional and digital marketing campaigns, management, reporting and budgeting.

     

    Responsibilities: 

    1. Manage & execute marketing communication activities within responsible area and ensure a consistent global image of the brand/company.

    2. Act as a good liaison partner between Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd and Messe Düsseldorf for implementation of joint marketing communication activities.

    3. Support project marketing planning, procurement and implementation. It includes advertising, exhibitions & customer events, media & public relations, publications, promotional articles, internal communications as well as the setup of Chinese version of corporate website.

    4. Assist to develop current activities on all digital fronts including website content management, SEO, email marketing and social media campaign management on Wechat and Linkedin together with the project and sales team.

    5. Maintain and develop existing campaign database in CRM

    6. Compile monthly digital marketing reports and make suggestions for campaign optimization

     

    Skills/Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing communications, public relations(PR) or related discipline

    2. 3 or above years’ experience in managing and executing (digital) marketing campaigns

    3. Experience in using Baidu AdWords, Google AdWords and proficiency in understanding of keyword optimization tools

    4. Experience working with multiple media vendors preferred

    5. Excellent English (CET/IELTS 6 or above) in both oral and written skills. Proficiency in spoken and written German is an advantage.

    4. Proficiency in PC applications, e.g. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes, MS Internet Explorer/Netscape Navigator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Chinese word processing etc.
